Owner Feeds Pomeranian Dinner, Then She Spots Something Under Cabinet

Intelligence Briefing

A dog’s quiet dinner time took an unexpected turn in a viral clip that has captured the internet’s attention. The short video, shared on April 5 under the username @the_lola_pom, shows a small Pomeranian calmly eating kibble in the living room when a surprise appears from beneath the TV stand. As the dog eats from her bowl, a tabby orange paw suddenly reaches out from under the cabinet and attempts to snatch the food.

The moment unfolds quickly, catching the pup completely off guard. Startled and visibly unsure of what is happening, the dog freezes and turns to look at her owner, seemingly searching for reassurance. Rather than returning to her meal, the Pomeranian keeps her eyes locked on her owner, clearly unsettled by the unexpected intrusion.

... Although the owner tries to calm her and reassure her that the cat cannot actually reach the food, the dog remains unconvinced, continuing to stare as if waiting for instruction. The cat, meanwhile, stays hidden under the TV stand, its paw repeatedly making attempts toward the bowl.

Text overlaid on the video says: “My cat thinks she’s so slick trying to get my dog’s dinner and my dog is over it. ” The caption adds: “The orange is strong with this one. ” The poster, Melyssa Sobczyk, told Newsweek that the fluffy pup is her 14-year-old Pomeranian named Lola.

“In the clip my cat, Duck Duck (my other cat’s name is Goose) is hiding under my TV stand thinking she’s being sneaky and trying to get Lola’s food. Instead she ended up confusing and intimidating Lola,” she said. While the cat’s plan to steal the meal did not quite succeed, it certainly made an impression on Lola.

The moment clearly resonated with viewers, many of whom could relate to the familiar chaos of multi-pet households. Since being shared, the video has taken off, drawing widespread attention. It has so far received more than 818,000 views and 42,900 likes on the platform, with viewers amused by the sneaky cat and the dog’s priceless reaction.

One user, Broganblood, commented: “Why is the dog looking at the camera like his in an episode of The Office. ” Voxaquaria said: "Momma are you seeing this??? " Tonecii wrote: “That's a non-stop drama house, I can tell.
