NEWS RELEASE SEARCHMONT SKI RUNNERS ************************* April 4 and 5 marked the final race of the 2025-26 season for U8, U10, and U12 Searchmont Ski Runner (SSR) athletes. More than 180 racers from 12 different race clubs gathered for the annual Honda Cup at Searchmont Resort, the highest attendance in the race’s history. Skiers competed in Sprint Giant Slalom and Giant Slalom events Saturday and Sunday through a variety of difficult weather conditions.

These young athletes train vigorously throughout the winter months, with all of their hard work culminating in this incredible weekend on their home hill. This year's Honda Cup was made possible through the incredible generosity of our title sponsors, a dedicated group of Northern Ontario Honda dealerships: Great Lakes Honda, Gore Motors Honda, Northern Honda, Timmins Honda, Palladino Honda, and Leggat Blue Mountain Honda. Their continued support is a testament to the strong community spirit that makes this event so special.
